PHOTOGRAPHER
Professional photos are to be taken at the technical rehearsal so please ensure everything is ironed and clean. Please also ensure you arrive to tech (and dress) with your make-up and hair already done. Photos will be available to purchase on line and at the show on Saturday 13th July. (If you purchase the pre-printed photos at the show Academy Arts get 10% of the sales.
Hair: Younger female students are to have their hair in low french plaits and sprayed within an inch of its life so it doesn't become whispy and fall out of it's style. If you have shorter hair please ensure it is off your face. Older students please style your hair as required for each section.
Make-up: Female Students may wear lipstick and mascara and blush but please don't allow the younger students to over do it. For the end of the show girls can wear red lipstick as red is the dominant colour for the finale.
Show Fee: Please check you have paid your show fee and please bring it in cash only.
Costumes: Costume lists were sent out a fortnight ago and the costume fee form will be sent out this week. We endeavour to keep the price as low as possible. There are some costumes to be hired from us but there are also costumes that are to be sourced by the students/parents and most will be clothes the students already have or can borrow from friends.
Please do borrow from people and lend each other items you may have. When the costume lists go out parents often think we expect everyone to buy everything brand new. We really don't. Lean on the little community we have here at Academy Performing Arts and of course ask your friends if they have any bits you can borrow. If any of you want to "friend" me on facebook (I know Im old) I'm under "Nina Academyarts" you can use that page to ask each other for costume ideas, bits and even lifts etc.
IMPORTANT: If you do buy anything new KEEP THE RECEIPT. Occasionally people purchase the wrong thing and I'd hate for you not to be able to get your money back.
Payment: Costume & show fees are to be paid in CASH at class. Please ensure cash is in an envelope clearly marked with the students name and how much is inside (and what it's for). Please ensure this is given to a member of staff. May I request that anyone paying in cash ensures that the notes are legitimate and please don't give us out of date notes or coins...pretty please!!!!)
