ABOUT THE CLASS
Our theatre school class for students age 7-21 yrs is action packed, driven and fun-filled.
The students enjoy working hard in a close, supportive environment with other friendly & talented kids. Whether the students wish to pursue a career in the arts, or build confidence or even if they simply enjoy being part of an exciting & energised group of young performers, there is something for everyone.
In these classes the students develop technique & performance skills in dance, drama & singing. A warm-up precedes workshops in each discipline to focus and prepare the student for class.
Throughout the year the students prepare monologues, dances and songs to be used for auditions, our annual talent competition and for LAMDA Acting and Musical Theatre exams. During the autumn and winter terms the students will study more advanced techniques in each discipline and in the spring/summer term will rehearse intensely for the school production which is performed at the end of the year.
Every member of Academy Arts is different. Some come to us to build confidence and make friends, others want to prepare for a professional career. Whatever the aims and goals of our students Academy Performing Arts will endeavour to fulfil them.
