APA is an independent after school & weekend performing arts Academy offering training to young performers taught by established industry professionals.

Principal Nina French, who has worked extensively in the industry for the past 30 years founded the school in 2007 in the hope of bringing the most talented of our local youth together to train and produce professional looking shows.

The school has a 110% work ethic and prides itself on the standard of it's students ability. Classes are fun, focused and driven, allowing our members to improve quickly in confidence and technique.

Whether you join the school with the intention of pursuing the Arts as a career or just want to be part of a dynamic group of young performers to have fun and make friends, Academy Arts has something for everyone.

There are also opportunities for students and their families to socialise outside of Academy Arts hours and with various community activities, parties, theatre trips, picnics and other social events alongside the fetes, presentations and productions the students perform in throughout the year.

As well as weekly sessions for children APA also run an Adult Theatre Company (Academy Unlimited) and are soon to launch Adult Musical Theatre & Dance classes and a Show Choir.

Academy Productions also Produce a Semi-professional Pantomime

Bi-Annually at Zinc Arts.
