Esme Laudat joined Academy Arts when it first opened in 2007 as a 12yr old child and performed in our first ever production HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL as a Brainiac. Esme performed in many shows while at Academy Arts, showcasing her incredible vocal ability and performance skills even at an impressively young age. Esme then became a staff member at Academy Arts, first as an assistant and then as a teacher at our branch in Epping whilst training in London. Esme, who lives London is an actress, singer, and dancer who is a regular presence in major UK musical theatre and West End productions.

Esme Laudat has built a diverse portfolio across national tours and prestigious London venues:
Just For One Day: West End original cast of the Live Aid musical as a Swing at the Shaftesbury Theatre (2025).
Sister Act: Portrayed Michelle and served as the first understudy for the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier in the 2023–2024 UK tour.
The Color Purple: Played Jarene in the critically acclaimed UK tour produced by
Curve and Birmingham Hippodrome.
Legally Blonde: Performed as an ensemble member and understudied the role of Paulette at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in 2022.
Hairspray: Appeared as a Swing in the London Coliseum revival (2021).

Spamilton: Female Understudy at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical: Played Little Eva/Shirelle on the UK tour.
Madagascar: Played Rico/Lynn and understudied Gloria on the UK and International tours.
Shuck 'n' Jive: Played Simone at the Soho Theatre and Tristan Bates Theatre.
Bromance: The Dudesical: Multi-role performance at The Other Palace.

Training & Background
After her training at Academy arts Esme went on to sixth form to study at the renowned performing arts college The BRIT School, and following that the prestigious Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd) from which she graduated in 2017.

It is an absolute pleasure to be able to follow Esme's career. We have been lucky enough to take our students to watch her in some of her shows, most recently "JUST FOR ONE DAY" in the West End.
